Abstract
The properties of positron surface states in simple metals are discussed in various surface interaction models. Numerical estimates are given for binding energies, annihilation lifetimes and 2γ-angular correlation curves for aluminum. Drastic changes are found in annihilation parameters compared to bulk annihilations, in accordance with experimental results.
