Abstract
The recently proposed method of continued fractions is applied to the second-order non-local optical potential with closure for the incident-energy range 54.4-300 eV. The method is rapidly convergent even for partial waves with small l. The results differ from those obtained by Mukherjee et al. (1982) for the same model and agree well with the recent results of the unitarised eikonal-Born series method.
