Abstract

In this work, observers are designed for positive fractional order systems (PFOS). First, conditions enabling one to design positive fractional order observers are established. Pole position in the complex plane is the cornerstone of the approach. Hence, linear programs are proposed to compute the gain observer. Further, the error is shown to vanish asymptotically. Furthermore, observer based stabilization is obtained for controlled positive systems with constrained inputs. An illustrative example is studied to show the effectiveness of the obtained results.
