Abstract

• Cardiac gas (CG) on immediate postmortem CT is related to arterial blood CO 2 levels. • CG-positive group's arterial blood ammonia level was higher than CG-negative group's. • CG on postmortem CT indicates more severe hypercapnia and hyperammonemia.
