Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the impacts digital technologies have had on teachers’ education and life through a systematic literature review. In order to achieve the proposed objective, a survey of academic production (articles and dissertations) was conducted in Scielo, Scopus and Catalog of Theses and Dissertations databases. After filter inclusion and exclusion criteria detailed in the methodology were applied, six studies that comprise the basis for this article were identified. There are several positive impacts with the use of new technologies in education with regard to methodologies, interaction, and in the inclusion of digital native students in the teaching and learning process; however, there are mainly physical and operational barriers that hinder the implementation of technologies in education.
