Abstract

Assistant Professor, Biochemist/Molecular Biologist, DEPARTMENT OF POULTRY SCIENCE, COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE AND LIFE SCIENCES, TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY. Applications and nominations are invited for the position of Assistant Professor Biochemist/Molecular Biologist, Department of Poultry Science, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Texas A&M University.Candidates for the position should have a Ph.D. in basic sciences. The ideal candidate should have additional postdoctoral training in molecular biology. The individual must have demonstrated experience or interest in working with avian species of commercial importance.The successful applicant is expected to develop a research program with strong focus on fundamental biology and with long-term commitment to applying advanced techniques in molecular and cellular biology to identify cellular mechanisms and genes important to avian reproduction or growth. The individual selected will be expected to actively seek research funds and to teach one course per semester. Excellent opportunities exist for collaborative research with an established Faculty .
