Assistant Professor in Poultry Extension. MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY. Michigan State University is seeking applicants for a position of Assistant Professor of Animal Science in Poultry Extension. This is a 12-mo, tenure-track appointment in research (35%) and extension (65%) in the Department of Animal Science. Duties and responsibilities include: 1) Conducting educational and technology transfer programs focused on applied poultry nutrition and production; 2) Establishing an extramurally funded applied research program; 3) Serving as a poultry nutrition and husbandry knowledge base for commercial and small flock poultry producers; 4) Collaborating with colleagues and serving as a liaison for the poultry industry with the personnel of state and federal agencies. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Poultry/Animal Science or closely related field with preference given to candidates with practical expertise in poultry nutrition and poultry production.
