Abstract
Assistant Professor in Poultry Science, Department of Animal Science, IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY. (12-mo, tenure track). Responsibilities will include research and extension. The person will be expected to establish a vigorous research and graduate education program in poultry products and to provide technical support to the poultry processing industry. Emphasis should be on development of value-added products, using poultry meats or eggs, and on microbiological aspects of poultry products and food safety. Opportunities will exist to participate in an ongoing food irradiation research program and to work collaboratively with the Meat Export Research Center. Qualifications required: candidate must hold a Ph.D. degree in poultry science, meat science, food science and technology, or a closely related field with emphasis on product development or processing technology.
