Abstract

For economic systematic reviews, there is currently no agreed-upon method to obtain a pooled economic effect size. The hierarchical decision matrix enables a visual summary of empirical economic studies, but it does not consider study precision or quality. We extended the hierarchical decision matrix with a novel weighted scoring system (termed dominance ranking score) to incorporate useful information of a study design, in order to determine dominance levels.
