Abstract

The Trans Urethral Resection of Prostate (TURP) represent the gold standard of LUTS treatment for Bladder Outlet Obstruction (BOO) caused by Benign Prostate Hypertrophy (BPH). The use o Gyrus Plasma Kinetic system, working with saline solution, significantly reduced the classical complications of the monopolar traditional system (bleeding, TUR syndrome, etc.). The aim of this study is to compare the clinical efficaciousness of Gyrus Plasma Kinetic technique versus the traditional Open Surgery (OPSU) in the treatment of voluminous BPH (till 100 gr in weight).
