Abstract

Since it was announced on March 2nd, 2020, COVID-19 outbreak in Indonesia has contribute to a significant health issue in Indonesia. As of September 21, 2021 there were 4.195.858 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 140.805 death (3.4%). Indonesia has experienced two waves of COVID-19 infection. The first wave lasted for 13 weeks from November 2020 to January 2021 where there was a 4-fold increase in weekly cases reaching 89.052 cases per week. Moreover, the second wave started from May to the second week of September 2021 reaching more than seven times weekly cases (253.600 cases/week). At both peaks of the COVID-19 waves, the health services will be the most affected.
