Abstract
Kidney Failure with Replacement Therapy (KFRT) is a highly demanding condition of specific lifelong cares. Knowledge about the illness and treatment options is a crucial need for affected patients and caregivers. Mobile technologies are useful tools for health education strategies in these patients. However, WhatsApp Messenger has not been used for education of KFRT patients or their caregivers. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a kidney school via WhatsApp Messenger to increase the knowledge about KFRT for hemodialysis patients and their caregivers.
