Abstract
Generally hemodialysis (HD) is the main treatment option for patient with stage 5 chronic kidney disease. Advances in dialysis technology have not eliminated the risk of mortality and morbidity due to malnutrition in these patients. Normalized protein catabolic rate (nPCR) is used as a surrogate for daily dietary protein intake and nutritional status in patients receiving maintenance hemodialysis. Indonesia’s universal health coverage support twice weekly HD. We performed study to investigate correlation of nutritional parameters of HD patients with HD adequacy in Hasan Sadikin General Hospital.
