Abstract
Pregnancy is rare in patients on chronic haemodialysis and constitutes a real challenge. Multidisciplinary management is the rule but does not guarantee a good prognosis for both mother and child. Very few cases of multiple pregnancies without induction of ovulation have been reported in patients with severe renal failure and those in maintenance dialysis. In sub-Saharan Africa, limited access to quality dialysis care renders pregnancy even very unusual in women on dialysis.
