Abstract

Hemodialysis (HD) is the primary renal replacement therapy (RRT) for end-stage chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients. However, CKD patients undergoing routine HD experience a decrease in quality of life over time. Kidney Disease and Quality of Life Short Form 36 (KDQOL-SF36) is a valid and reliable tools for assessing CKD-HD patient’s quality of life. Malnutrition inflammation syndrome in CKD-HD patients occurs due to protein-energy malnutrition (PEM) and excessive inflammatory process, which affect the patient's quality of life.
