Abstract
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) has become one of the most severe diseases that threats human life. The rate of adult chronic kidney disease in China is as high as 10.8%, and death rate is ranked firstly among chronic diseases. Kidney fibrosis is the endstage of CKD. However, there is currently no effective treatment for CKD to reverse the development of renal fibrosis. Researchers are committed to explore the specific mechanisms of kidney fibrosis. Several studies have proved that the endogenous cannabinoid system (ECS) plays an important role in kidney fibrosis and senescence.
