Abstract

CKD remains a disease affect to 8%-16% population in worldwide and has multiple complications mainly cardiovascular but also affects other systems such as bone. In addition to the bone mineral disorder typical of CKD, there may also be a bone density disorder that leads to a greater risk of fractures and greater mobi-mortality. The main objective of this study was to determine the prevalence and possible factors associated with osteoporosis. In addition, the risk of fractures was estimated using the FRAX tool already validated in the population with CKD.
