Abstract

Anemia is common amongst patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and is associated with increased morbidity and mortality. The prevalence varies among different regions, ranging from 49% to 98% (Shibabaw, 2020) . In Malaysia, a single-centre study by Muhammad Salman et.al . reported the prevalence of anemia in non-dialysis (ND-CKD) was 75.8% and only 38% were provided with treatment. We aimed to study the epidemiology and risk factors of anaemia in our local population.
