Abstract
We present a case of crescentic fibrillary glomerulonephritis (FGN) with spontaneous improvement in renal function. A 53-year-old female presented with fever, cough and right upper lobe pneumonia. Antibiotics (azithromycin and ceftriaxone) were started. Her serum Creatinine (Cr) was 2.53 mg/dl (baseline 0.9 mg/dl). Sputum cultures grew MRSA and antibiotics were switched to Vancomycin. After 3 days of antibiotics Cr remained at 1.8. Renal ultrasound showed no hydronephrosis. Urinalysis showed microscopic hematuria and 3 g proteinuria.
