Abstract

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a syndrome characterized by a sudden decrease in kidney function. Global estimates suggest that 13 million people have AKI every years. C-reactive protein (CRP) is a protein that appears in the acute phase and is a marker of inflammation. Several studies have shown that there is an increasing CRP levels in AKI patients, so CRP is proposed as a biomarker of inflammation in AKI. This study aims to examine the relationship between CRP levels with AKI in patients with sepsis.
