Abstract

Novel Corona virus SARS -COV - 2 first emerged in December 2019, in Wuhan China, rapidly spreading across the world creating a havoc. Elderly are found to be particularly susceptible to this infection. Factors like age, gender, chronic comorbidity, inflammation, immune senescence and renin angiotensin system may be the contributing risk factors towards COVID-19. Elderly patients with Renal involvement are particularly at higher risk to contract infection and higher mortality compared to general population.
