Abstract

Kidney disease continues to be a problem with antiretorviral therapy in patients with HIV infection, its incidence varies from 2.7 to 6.9 per 100 person-years. There is growing evidence that antiretorviral therapy can cause a wide variety of nephrotoxic effects and severe acute kidney injury, however, reported cases of crystalline nephropathy from the use of Darunavir (DRV) are rare.
