Abstract

Port performance is one of the essential elements to optimize the international logistics chain and guarantee the flow of world trade.
 This article exposes the problem of ports and logistics in Algeria. In fact, the control of logistics costs goes hand in hand with the commercial opening of a country. Today, voices are being raised to condemn the blatant lack of specialization at the level of Algerian ports. A specialization that contributes significantly to improving port efficiency. This study also analyzes the causes of port inefficiency in Algeria as well as the various obstacles from which the overwhelming majority of Algerian ports suffer as well as their effects on the optimization of the logistics chain.
