Abstract
The history and achievements of the Library and Documentation Centre of Star Printing and Publishing Company Limited, Enugu, Nigeria, a government-owned newspaper organization, are described. This Library was started ten years ago by the author and is being used by the staff of the organization as well as by various researchers, because of its unique collections of newspapers, clippings, portraits, photographs, pamphlets, and other ephemeral materials. It has been of particular significance to the editorial staff of the organization because of their desire to disseminate accurate information to the public.
