Abstract

Based on the characteristics of the tunnel in Guizhou Province, the risk assessment model of the portal instability is established, when fuzzy analytic hierarchy process is used. First of all, influence factors on portal instability in Guizhou Province are selected based on statistical results of domestic tunnels and the characteristics of Guizhou tunnel. Second, using Faulty and considering engineering analogy and experts’ survey, relative weight is determined. Third, triangle membership function and karwowski function are selected to establish the risk assessment model. Then model results are processed based on the maximum value method. The model is applied to the tunnel in Guizhou province, and portal instability level of is calculated to be level III. The results are compound with the engineering design description. Therefore, the model is reliable and can be applied to the risk assessment of portal instability in Guizhou Province.
