Abstract

Rates of induction of labour (IOL) in the United Kingdom continue to rise. However, research continues to identify high rates of dissatisfaction including information that is shared with women and birthing people prior to making an informed decision. This paper explores the use of portable video media to enhance and complement counselling for IOL with the aim of providing consistent and accurate messages to improve the overall experience.
