Abstract

A computerized operator training simulator (OTS) that realistically models the behavior of an entire power system is featured. Drawbacks of the original OTS are identified. The research and development involved in reimplementating the original OTS in the Unix operating system is discussed. The development and conversion of the software for the Unix environment are detailed, and results of OTS acceptance testing using the data model of the Philadelphia Electric Company are presented.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
