Abstract

the reactivities of five Mn III(Cl) - porphinoids were compared in the catalytic alkene epoxidations in CH 3CN solution with peracetic acid as primary oxidant. Porphyrins 1 and 2 bearing Cl and NO 2 substituents showed the best efficiency while tetraazaporphyrin 5 was found to be an interesting catalyst for terminal alkene epoxidations.
