Abstract

In article number 1601992, Ralph G. Nuzzo, John A. Rogers, and co-workers demonstrate broadband anti-reflection coatings that rely on porous nanomaterials formed by self-assembly. The image shows the use of such coatings (orange) on an array of lenses within a concentration photovoltaics architecture, where photons are efficiently concentrated onto underlying triple-junction solar cells, leading to an efficiency enhancement of ≈8%.
