Abstract

A porous 3D metal–organic framework (MOF) with NbO topology was prepared at ambient temperature by utilizing the paddle wheel dinuclear secondary building units of Co2(COO)4 and tertiary amine groups as an active center. Its chemical formula is {[Co2(L)(H2O)2]·(3DMF)(4H2O)}n (1, H4L is 5, 5′-(piperazine-1,4-diyl)diisophthalic acid). The activated MOF 1 possesses a rich porous structure, high Langmuir and BET surface areas, and abundant Lewis acid (CoII) catalytic sites and tertiary amino groups. This catalyst is suitable for the synthesis of cyclic carbonates from epoxides and CO2 with TBAB catalyst under a no solvent or mild reaction. Its treatment activity on postoperative bacterial infection was also determined, and bacterial survival was calculated. Relative ftsZ expression in bacteria was measured by real time RT-PCR.
