Abstract
The east coast of Canada is a classic pull‐apart margin which was initiated during late Triassic time. The rifting of the seafloor continued during mid‐Jurassic time which was dominated by thick marine deposits along the ancient shelf edge. One member was an extensive carbonate bank facies called the Abenaki formation. This paper focuses on the uppermost unit, the Baccaro member.
