Abstract
The author points out the revision of three aspects in the construction of a Brazilian Methodist ecclesiology: the revision of religious emphasis, dialogue with the Theology of Liberation, and the question of the New Creation. The discussion begins with a critical reading of the Pietistic inheritance of Brazilian Methodism for a valorization of the Christian community. Finally, the text presents the basis for an eco – theology, with inspiration in Wesleyan social holiness, uniting this critical reading in the face of the social and political structures of economic liberalism.
