Abstract
It was the purpose of this study to investigate to what extent porous synthetics, e.g. porous high density polyethylene, is suitable for otosurgical interventions. In this study, we examined the suitability of this material, in particular for the obliteration of radical cavities and for the replacement of the posterior wall of the auditory meatus on experimental animals.
