Abstract

Abstract Nala lividipes (Dufour) (Dermaptera: Labiduridae) is reported for the first time from Orissa- Population of Nala lividipes shows two annual peaks in September and May. Three distinct age groups were found in different proportions in different seasons. Population dynamics in relation to relative humidity, air temperature and other factors is discussed. Activity of the insect is more prominent in the post rainy season than in the summer and winter acclimatized ones. The population consists of more females (60%) than males (40%).
