Abstract
• ‘Lung cancer’ is the leading cause of cancer related deaths. Furthermore, primary lung cancer is the most fatal cancer in both men and women. • One of the rare but highly aggressive types of primary lung tumours is the synovial sarcoma. • Synovial sarcomas account for about 510% of soft tissue tumors. • Pulmonary synovial sarcomas account for 0.1-0.5 % of pulmonary sarcomas. • The tumour is diagnostically challenging due to its nonspecific presentation and overlapping histologic features with several other sarcomas.
