Abstract

A quantitative study of the Poole-Frenkel effect for long-range defect potentials in semiconductors is being performed. Electron-irradiation-induced defects in germanium are used as a test. The results demonstrate that the binding potential for the defect studied can be satisfactorily described by a Coulomb field.
