Abstract
We study thin-shell collapse in non-commutative d-dimensional Reissner–Nordstrom geometry with most general polytropic equation of state. We formulate equation of motion for the shell using Israel junction conditions and express it in terms of non-commutative factor through smeared Gaussian distribution. It is found that non-commutative collapsing thin-shell in the presence of extra dimensions leads to the formation of either a black hole or naked singularity.
