Polytropic stellar models with a core-dynamo magnetic field

Abstract

Self-consistent n = 3 polytropic models with a steady α-effect dynamo operating in the inner 20 per cent by radius are constructed. These axisymmetric models are a first step towards developing self-consistent models of upper main sequence stars with a dynamo field generated in the convective core and pervading the radiative envelope.
