Abstract
Extracellular polysaccharides in the medium of Hinoki cells in suspension culture were mainly composed of xyloglucan and 3,6-linked arabinogalactan. The non-cellulosic polysaccharides in the primary cell walls of the suspension-cultured cells were mainly composed of rhamnogalacturonan, xyloglucan, 4-linked galactan and 5-linked arabinan, which have been widely reported to be major non-cellulosic polysaccharides in dicotyledons.
