Abstract

Background and Aims: Poor medication adherence undermines treatment outcomes. With polypharmacy getting increasingly common, adherence becomes a growing concern. We sought to conduct a survey regarding polypharmacy, adherence and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in community-dwelling old patients with various co-morbidities, all at high cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk, who were receiving polypharmacy. We also investigated the relation of polypharmacy-adherence-HRQoL and their associations with patient characteristics.
