Abstract
This paper compares the accuracy obtainable with different procedures for the adjustment of strips and blocks in topographic mapping, where the number of ground-control points is rather limited. The polynomial adjustment used at N.R.C. is shortly described. Formulas are given for a conventional procedure of strip adjustment of models, and a variant of this procedure is developed which can correct properly for systematic errors. The three procedures are used for the adjustment of strips of two blocks. The obtained results are shown and conclusions are drawn.
