Abstract

For a polynomial matrix having full row rank for all values of the parameter (number of rows less than number of columns), a number of extra rows is constructed such that the completed square polynomial matrix is unimodular. This construction is performed in a numerically reliable way using a deadbeat control algorithm for a generalized state-space system which, in turn, represents the given polynomial matrix.
