Abstract

We have examined the DNA reparation gene XPD A2251C polymorphous variants distribution among lung cancer carriers and among healthy donors in order to get new fundamental knowledge about A2251C polymorphism’s role in this oncopathology developing with different tumour histological type and depending on neoplastic process spreading (with metastases or without them). We have enclosed a significant minor genotype (AC- and CC-genotypes) frequency growth in the lung cancer carriers’ group, compared with these indicators in the healthy people group, the same results have been got in the groups of patients with small cell and non-small cell carcinoma of lung. Association with metastasis has not been found. We have calculated relative risks of lung cancer developing with the gene XPD A22551C polymorphous variants.
