Abstract
AbstractThe polymorphism of trans‐1,4‐polyisoprene is discussed on the basis of conformational and packing energy calculations. These calculations suggest chain conformation and mode of packing for the α and β modifications. Two other chain conformations with a c axis near to that of the α modification are energetically accessible.
