Abstract

AbstractSix ladder or partly ladder polymers have been prepared by the condensation of diaminodiphenols with tetrachloro‐ or terahydroxyquinoxaline derivatives with the use of poly (phosphoric acid), pyridine, and naphthalene as reaction media. The polymers thus obtained are highly colored powdery materials which are slightly soluble in concentrated sulfuric acid and methanesulfonic acid. These polymers show good thermal stability.
