Abstract

AbstractThe redox properties of quinones play a key part in photosynthesis and oxidative phosphorylation. This mini‐review focuses on the synthesis and properties of polymers that contain in‐chain quinone units. Many of the syntheses exploit Yamamoto or Suzuki couplings. Most of the polymers that are soluble in organic solvents display interesting electrochemical and optical properties that may be useful for a wide range of applications.
