Abstract

1. The polymerization of hexafluoro-1,3-butadiene was investigated under pressure in presence of various initiators. 2. It was shown that diethyl peroxydicarbonate is the most effective initiator for the polymerization of hexafluoro-1,3-butadiene. 3. The relation of the rate of polymerization to the nature of the initiator, the temperature, and the pressure was determined. 4. The thermomechanical properties of the resulting polymers were determined.
