Abstract

We have fabricated organic light‐emitting devices (OLEDs) with molecularly doped polymeric network (MDPN) nanolayers or epoxy‐carbazole polymeric network (ECzPN) nanolayers which were made by the thermo‐chemical crosslinking reaction between epoxidized cresol novolak and phenolic novolak and/or 3, 6‐diamino carbazole (Cz) in the presence of hole‐transporting small molecules. The current density—voltage—luminance (J‐V‐L) characteristics of OLEDs were discussed to understand the role of thermo‐chemical crosslinking reaction in the MDPN or ECzPN nanolayers. In addition, we also prepared and characterized polyimide (PI) based MDPN. Here we developed a new category of OLED, which is defined by a hybrid OLED (HOLED).
