Abstract

A new solid-phase microextraction (SPME) method was developed for extraction of 15 n-alkanes in soil samples. For this purpose, a new version of monolithic SPME fiber based on polymeric ionic liquids loaded on polyethersulfone monolithic substrate was presented. The quantitative analysis was carried out by GC-FID. The proposed fiber exhibits high thermal stability, reproducible extraction efficiency and long lifetimes. Analytical merits of the method, including correlation coefficients (0.9667–0.9987) and low detection limits (0.05–0.2 µg kg−1), made the proposed method suitable for the trace determination of n-alkanes in soil samples.
