Abstract

From IR-dichroic investigations of uniaxially drawn films of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) and copolymers with methylacrylate and acrylic acid containing dimethylformamide (DMF) residues, conclusions are drawn with respect to the polymer-solvent interaction and the relative orientation of polymer and solvent specific atomic groups at different draw ratios.
